Professor Peter Mathew first joined the department as Junior Tutor in 1965 and then took his M.Sc. from Kerala University and rejoined the Department as Junior Lecturer in 1970. Adroit in drawing, Professor Peter was instrumental in making hundreds of charts the department now possesses. A sincere and committed copybook style teacher he was, Professor Peter went on leave to Nigeria in 1982 and returned to the department for six more years and resigned from service in 1992 to immigrate to the US, where he is presently well settled.
