Overview
The Department of Commerce at St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor, has a rich legacy of academic excellence and progressive development. Established in 1966 with a Pre-Degree Commerce batch, it became a Graduate Department in 1981 and was elevated to a Postgraduate Department in 1998. In 2022, it achieved the status of an approved Research Centre under Mahatma Gandhi University, enabling students to pursue doctoral studies in Commerce.
The department is staffed by a team of experienced and dynamic faculty members dedicated to academic excellence and personalized mentorship, fostering a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
In addition to core programs, the department offers integrated CA/CMA/ACCA coaching and add-onsuch as Capital Market and Tally Pro to enhance employability and industry readiness.
