Academic Year 2019-2020

  • Reading Day was celebrated on June 19, 2019 by the Malayala Samajam in conjunction with the Departments of English and Oriental Languages as well as the Library by introducing the book Thakshankunnu Swaroopam by U.K. Kumaran.
  • To commemorate the death anniversary of Vaikom Muhammed Basheer and P. Keshavadev on July 5, 2019,  a book exhibition was held for the students. In addition, a quiz competition was also held based on the life of Basheer and prizes were distributed for the same. 
  • On January 7, 2020 an essay competition entitled topic Paristhithi sauhrida susthira vikasana navaKeralam ente kazhchapadil was conducted for the students and prizes were distributed for the same.
  • On College Day held on March 6 2020, a manuscript magazine entitled Elaveyil Elakalil Ezhuthiyathu was released by the chief guest the Principal of Baselius College Dr. Biju Thomas

Mathrubhasha Dinacharanam

The programme associated with ‘Mathrubhasha Dinam’ was conducted on 23.02.2016 chaired by Dr.Francis Cyriac E.  Prof. S. Joseph, a Famous poet and the Professor of Maharaja’s College Ernakulam was the chief guest of this programme. The magazine ‘Kallupencil’ was released.The ottanthullal was performed by Kalamandalam Sri. Jaimon Kurichithanam and group.

Reading Day Celebrations

Dept. of Oriental Languages in collaboration with the Dept. of English celebrated the Reading day (Vayanadinam). Students were introduced to Two Novels.

Nammude Bhasha Plan

The plan of daily News Paper DEEPIKA ‘Nammude Bhasha Plan’ was introduced to our college and inaugurated under the auspicious of Malayalam Department on 19.10.2015.

O.N.V. Memorial Meeting

The memorial meeting of O. N. V. Kurup was conducted at the Seminar Hall on 15.02.2016

Malayala samajam 

It is an association of students and teachers  who love literature and nature. They published  manuscript magazines with the guidance of teachers

Folklore club

Dr. Sr. Deepa took PhD in folklore and a club was established in our college for promoting folk arts with the guidence of kerala folklore academy. Through this club we give training for margamkali and folk songs. A national seminar had been conducted along with tribal performanace too. Sevaralarts and cultural programs are part of this club
